These three delightful and well-equipped gîtes are situated in
the hamlet of Garviniou, in the commune of Plounévez-Quintin. The
original stone longère, which sits on top of a hill overlooking
ancient private woodlands and fields, was completely renovated in
2003 to form two gîtes (1 & 2) and a studio, whilst still retaining the
charm and character of the original building. All are available for
short and long-term lets. and are within a short stroll of the
owners’ farm where guests can buy fresh milk and eggs. Closer to the
farm is a large old stone house with garden, renovated in 2006, also
available for short and long-term letting. Whether on holiday or
house-hunting, all are ideally situated for exploring the heart of
Brittany.
The village of Plounévez-Quintin itself has a post office,
boulangerie, butcher, small grocery shop, maison de presse,
bar/tabac, two restaurants and a crêperie.
The village is less than 10 minutes’ drive from the larger towns
of St Nicolas du Pélem and Rostrenen, both of which have large
supermarkets, with petrol stations, and banks with cash point
machines. St Nicolas also has an outdoor swimming pool, open for the
holiday season.
